Lady, Fly Home began as a brick repeat pattern of a German bomber and full moon. The lady birds were added as if haplessly scuttling, confused as to which direction to take. Aside from the red lady birds and blue bomber I wanted the colours to resemble those used for maps.
I think the image resembles a strange board game.
