I work as an illustrator, designer/printmaker producing unique designs for lamp shades, paper cuts and limited edition Giclee prints.
My designs are inspired by a deep love of pattern and the natural world. I spend many hours drawing and then cutting paper shapes which I then scan and manipulate in Photoshop. The designs are then digitally printed onto quality fabric or paper by professional printers. The colours are very beautiful and vibrant. I then like to carefully make the lamp shades up myself in my studio in Nottingham
My paper cuts are cut on my ingenious little plotter cutter. I love the thickness and slight texture of Murano paper.
I like the idea of having a range of complimentary products and I am experimenting with designing and firing decals onto ceramics. I also plan to possibly have my designs printed as repeats on cushions and curtains, as well as creating new designs combining traditional and digital printing.
