I first experimented with digital ceramic decals a few years ago. I was less familiar with firing an electric kiln then, subsequently the images did not fire very well and I was a bit disheartened. Recently I decided to give it another go and found the original printed sheet. The decals had become rather brittle over time. This time I fired them much more slowly to 760 degrees centigrade and hey presto! a much better result.

I uploaded and purchased another A3 sheet of decals and fired them onto some readymade china and porcelain pieces and here are some of the results.

I also experimented with silk screening onglaze enamels onto U-Wet transfer paper from John Purcell papers. The actual silkscreen process was a nightmare as I had to undertake it at home. I think the process would be OK. in a designated silkscreen workshop.
